Welcome to KAFF
KAFF CELEBRATES 20 YEARS OF EXCELLENCE!
The KAFF is a community-based film festival, which specifically focuses on screening South African Films, Africa Films and documentaries and unique world films. KAFF is entirely run at community venues with the main activities at K-CAP’s awesome Ekhaya Multi Arts Centre in Kwa-Mashu. KAFF is complemented by its effective 5-days developmental workshops programme facilitated by funders, professional filmmakers and producers. Having established itself as a people’s festival – it has ventured as far as Ndwedwe, Port Shepstone and Pietermaritzburg – to share with communities the joys of cinema and the skills that directors bring to KwaZulu-Natal during KAFF. The festival’s focus is African stories from all over the world. While the definition of Africanis broad, the festival recognises that our stories are interwoven and can come from all parts of the globe. The year 2023 marks 20 years of KAFF, a milestone that we plan on celebrating by taking the level of the festival to even more greater and unimaginable heights.
